Wild Creative Playgroup Term 2

$25.00

'Restricted, we grow inwards. With space we flourish.'

Wild Creative Playgroup runs to a gentle rhythm supporting organic learning through child led exploration of the natural environment.
We help nurture parents with the healing benefits of nature, earth crafts and the presence of likeminded families sharing their experiences and offering one another support.

FOR TODDLERS AND OLDER CHILDREN the bush space is a magical place to investigate the plants and insects, observe seasonal changes, forage for pieces for our craft activities and build strength, agility and balance through natural movement.

FOR BABIES being in the natural environment is a sensory rich
experience with earthy textures, feeling the breeze on their skin,
the warmth of the sun filtering through the trees or the pitter patter of raindrops.

ALL CHILDREN engage in multi age learning through observation, sharing, reflection and exploration together.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Welcome earth circle on the mat under the trees.
Some songs.
Open play and exploration of the space.
Nature Craft
Closing sharing circle and mantra.
Joyous puddle jumping and dancing in the rain
Support, laughs and similar stories from fellow parents in our little 'bush village''

This is an all weather group (unless extreme weather in which case you'll be notified to reschedule). This allows children to observe the seasons, experience changes in the temperature and terrain which in turn, builds resilience.

AVAILABLE EACH WEEK:
Mud kitchen
Balancing blocks
Children can work on strength and balancing skills through moving
the way nature intended or discover little bugs building a connection to the space
and the wonders in the natural environment.
Experience as both a parent and facilitator shows me less is more as children will use their skills, instincts and innate curiosity to learn when objects and toys are not present.

NATURE CRAFTS INCLUDE:
Practise fine motor skills with leaf threading
Create magic potions
Rain painting
Texture walks
Inventing nature creatures with mud and clay
Make fairy/elf/gnome homes
Nature painting
Clay ornaments
Nature stamps
Nature treasure hunt
Loose parts play
